Pro Elite, not standard Vicious fluoro
Pro Elite is a fluorocarbon main-line option when you want a fresh working fill on appropriately matched tackle. Choose a manageable diameter for the reel: the listed 8 lb is 0.010 inch, while 20 lb is 0.016 inch. A full fill keeps the line continuous; sound backing underneath a shorter fresh section can make the package last through more refills.

Choosing your Pro Elite strength
Choose among the current Pro Elite tests for your tackle and presentation. The 14 lb option is .014 inch; compare that actual size and test rather than assuming it is interchangeable with another line labeled 15 lb.
Use the EFLO-family diameter chart rather than the standard FLO chart. At 8 lb those current charts differ: Pro Elite .010 inch versus standard .009 inch.
Larger 500- and 800-yard spools increase supplied length, not line strength. A shorter working section can reduce how much of the package is used on one reel.

The current official Pro Elite chart and variants list 14 lb, not 15 lb. Use the 14 lb rating and .014-inch diameter when deciding whether it suits your rod, lure and cover.
What does level-wound mean?
The line is arranged in even layers on the supply spool. Keep steady tension as you transfer it to the reel and stop at the reel maker's recommended fill level.
Can I use standard Vicious diameters?
No. Use the specific Pro Elite chart, even at the same pound-test label.
