Reaction Tackle Ice Fishing Braid uses eight PE strands and a coating the manufacturer describes as water-repelling. This guide covers Ice Camo 4, 6, 8 and 10 lb on 150-yard spools. Standard four-strand braid and ordinary X8 are separate lines.

Plan depth, reserve and cold-weather handling
Ice Braid is intended for ice-fishing setups, where working length depends on fishing depth, fish runs and trimming rather than long casts. Use tackle suited to the technique and leave enough usable braid above any backing. Check the line and guides during cold conditions and clear ice buildup before it interferes with handling.

Choosing your Reaction Ice Braid strength
Choose test for the target fish, depth and terminal rig. The checked 4 lb is 0.10 mm, while 10 lb is 0.20 mm; these are not the standard four-strand braid sizes.
Keep enough line beyond the fishing depth for fish runs, damaged sections and retying. Divide the 150-yard supply across reels only after choosing those working lengths.
A coating cannot guarantee ice-free guides or line. Inspect the line and tackle as conditions change, and do not interpret a generic reel-capacity result as ice-tackle approval.

Backing, working line & leaders
Start with depth
Choose working length from depth plus expected runs and reserve. A 150-yard supply package does not tell you how deep to fish or how much an ice reel holds.
Fill unused volume appropriately
When using a spinning reel, backing can occupy room beneath the chosen working braid. For a tip-up, follow that device's own line and capacity guidance.
Manage the terminal section
A separately chosen leader may be useful for the presentation. The leader goes ahead of Ice Braid, not underneath it as backing.

No. It is the dedicated Ice Fishing Braided Line with its own diameter list and coating description.
Will the coating stop all icing?
No such guarantee is made here. Reaction describes water-repelling properties, but conditions, guides and line handling still matter.
Why show a spinning reel example?
It is a capacity demonstration using an existing real reel record, not a recommendation to use that reel for every ice-fishing setup.
Is 150 yards one leader?
No. It is the braid package length. Choose depth reserve and any separate terminal leader length independently.
