Three authentic P-Line HALO Mist Green 200 yd cartons with 6, 8 and 10 lb diameter labels
Actual US HF200 cartons at 6, 8, and 10 lb; eBay-hosted photo, production years unestablished.

HALO is P-Line's 100% fluorocarbon Co-Fluoride main line. This US reference covers three photographed Mist Green HF 200-yard cartons: 6, 8, and 10 lb. The photos have no established production year, so this is a package-label reference, not a current-edition or availability claim.

HALO is full fluorocarbon, not a coated copolymer

HALO is a fluorocarbon main-line option to consider for a light or moderate working fill. The verified 6, 8 and 10 lb packages give you three diameters to compare with the reel's capacity. Choose strength for the lure and cover, then decide between a continuous full fill and a shorter fresh section over sound backing.

The numbers behind the setup

P-Line HALO Fluorocarbon diameter chart

US Mist Green HF200 cartons only: 6 lb .008 in/.21 mm; 8 lb .01 in/.25 mm; 10 lb .011 in/.28 mm. Each label says 200 yd. Both printed units are retained at their original precision in the evidence; neither regional tables nor retailer-authored diameters supplied these values.

Choosing your setup

Choosing your HALO strength

The supported strengths are 6, 8, and 10 lb, each paired with a pictured 200-yard US package. A missing strength is unverified here, not necessarily discontinued.

The 6 lb carton prints .21 mm and .008 inch. Do not replace it with a .22 mm retailer or regional entry.

The 8 lb inch value is printed as .01, with coarser precision than some other labels. Extra display decimals do not make it a finer physical measurement.

This reference does not independently test sinking rate, visibility, abrasion resistance, or the condition of photographed stock.

Backing, working line & leaders

Start with the 200-yard package

Determine the required working HALO length and reserve before deciding how much backing to add. A 200-yard carton may not fill every reel at these diameters.

Control the fill, not just the yard count

Wind consistently and stop at the reel manufacturer's recommended level. The independently rounded label values support an estimate, not a guaranteed measured fill.

Keep mainline and leader roles distinct

These HF cartons document HALO as main line. A leader or long topshot is a separate rigging choice, and a long section on the reel consumes its own spool volume.

HALO questions, answered

Is HALO fluorocarbon-coated nylon?

No. P-Line describes HALO as 100% fluorocarbon with its Co-Fluoride formulation. CX Premium and FloroClear are the coated-copolymer products, not this HALO reference.

Which HALO region and package are covered?

US Mist Green HF200 6, 8, and 10 lb cartons, each labeled 200 yards. EU meter-rated packages are not cross-matched by strength or column position.

Does the 6 lb label say .21 or .22 mm?

The actual US carton in the retained photo says .21 mm, alongside .008 inch. That primary label controls this reference.

Are these the latest HALO specifications?

The production years of these photographed cartons are unestablished. Official US records corroborate their identities, but the photos do not prove the latest edition, present stock, or the entire HALO range.

Specifications & sources

A single actual-package photo shows legible 6, 8, and 10 lb HALO cartons together. It is hosted on eBay; the numeric authority is the P-Line printing, not the seller description. Official US variants match HF200-6, HF200-8, and HF200-10. EU package sizes and the separate 2,000-yard US family are not included.

Calculations use the catalog's listed inch diameters. Published inch and millimeter values may differ slightly because of rounding.
